Health and Wellness Initiatives
The Carrboro Recreation and Parks Department is proud to be one of a network of agencies and citizens working together to promote health and wellnesss in Orange County. HCOC is currently developing and carrying out initiatives to address various health issues that were identified in the 2007 Commuity Health Assessment. Eat Smart Move More
Eat Smart, Move More Orange County promotes increased opportunities for healthy eating and physical activity. This Health Promotion Committee of Healthy Carolinians of Orange County developed the plan for this program. The Carrboro Recreation and Parks will assist in encouraging individuals and families to approach what they eat and how much they move.
